SMSU is hosting the 4th Annual Mustangs Give: Day of Service on Wednesday, October 9. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on October 9 and is a part of Homecoming week activities. The day is an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to sign up for volunteer opportunities available around Marshall and area communities.

Volunteers can sign-up to work on projects for the Marshall Area YMCA, Lyon County Museum, Light Up the Night (Prairie Home Hospice), ReStore (Habitat for Humanity), City of Marshall, SMSU, and many other organizations. Sign-up by visiting www.smsu.edu/go/mustangsgive.

On the Day of Service, volunteers can check in at the Founders Hall Lobby to claim their t-shirt and take a yard sign to share at their project site. For those who have participated in Mustangs Give in previous years and already have a t-shirt, please wear it! The shirts are the same design and colors as previous years, and available to those who do not already have one.

Clubs, organizations, and academic programs that have planned their own service projects are asked to contact Melissa Scholten, Director of the Center for Civic and Community Engagement; melissa.scholten@SMSU.edu to be included in the Day of Service program.
