Women's Studies
SMSU established a Women's Studies Program in 1996. We offer a minor in Women's Studies.
The goal of the Women’s Studies minor is to enrich students’ understanding of women’s roles and the influence of gender in society by examining these subjects through a variety of perspectives and disciplines. The strength of the minor lies in a multidisciplinary framework that enables students to make connections and draw comparisons both within the United States and globally.
