The SMSU Opt-On Advantage

Lock-in your second year now to enjoy exclusive benefits!

The Opt-On Advantage is an opportunity for incoming students to receive exclusive perks for opting into a two-year agreement to live in the SMSU Residence halls. Students who join the Opt-On Advantage will continue to receive these benefits for as long as they live on campus.

You can save up to $4,500!

#LiveLifeOn your first year AND agree upfront to a second year to access all the perks of this new program. You must opt-on by August 1, 2024 to access all the perks in your second year! 

(Foundation Residence Apartments are not included in the discount.)

To reclaim your room: 

  1. Go to E-Services
  2. Log in with your StarID and password
  3. On the left hand side click on Housing and Dining
  4. Log in again with your StarID and password
  5. Complete housing application, make deposit, select meal plan, and reclaim your room. 

2024 Housing Reclaim Dates: 

  • February 20-22: reclaim your room
  • February 26: Seniors claim your room
  • February 27: Juniors claim your room
  • February 28: Sophomores claim your room
  • February 29: First-Years claim your room
