The SMSU Chemistry Club will host “Colorful Chemistry Day” on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Marshall Area YMCA.
The event is intended to help build awareness of chemistry and promote the value of chemistry in everyday life.
Chemistry Club participants will share their enthusiasm and love of chemistry with community members on a more personal level than they are able to at the club’s popular reaction shows, said Dr. Noelle Beyer, Associate Professor of Chemistry and the Chemistry Club’s faculty advisor.
A variety of colorful hands-on activities involving chemistry found in the world around us every day are planned, she said.
There is no set schedule. Those interested are invited to come and go as they please and participate in as many activities as they would like.
