SMSU Homecoming 2024

SMSU Student Activities Committee Announces the Homecoming 2024 Royalty Court. The voting continues through 11:59pm on Wed., Oct. 9. The King and Queen will be crowned at the coronation event on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6:30pm in the Conference Center Lower Level at SMSU.

Freshmen Representatives:

Ella Knakmuhs, is an English Education major, from Walnut Grove, MN and the daughter of Nate and Crystal Knakmuhs. She is sponsored by Education Minnesota Aspiring Educators.

John O’Brien is majoring in Communication Studies: Broadcast and Digital Media. He is the son Dave and Julie O’Brien, from Alexandria, MN. He is sponsored by Enactus

Sophomore Representatives:

Kayla Browen is a sophomore from Worthington, MN, majoring in Music Education and minoring in Design and Technical Theatre. She is the daughter of Gary and Sara Browen. Her sponsor is Education Minnesota Aspiring Educators.

Paul Woestehoff is majoring in Vocal & Instrumental Music Education. He is the sun of Paul and Lisa Woestehoff, from Jordan, MN. He is sponsored by Enactus.

Queen Candidates:

Kylie Unger is a senior, majoring in Physical and Health Education. She is the daughter of William and Christine Unger, from Gibbon, MN. Her sponsor is Education Minnesota Aspiring Educators.

Sami Theis, is a junior, majoring in Social Work, minoring in Spanish. She is the daughter of Brian and Shannon Theis, from New Prague, MN. Her sponsor is the Student Social Work Association.

Cassy Herding is a senior, majoring in Justice Administration and Political Science. She is from Harrisburg South Dakota, and the daughter of Chris and Craig Herding. Cassy is sponsored by the Student Association.

King Candidate:

Sebastian Tilton is a senior, majoring in Accounting. He is the son of Maria E and Terry Tilton, from Mound. His sponsor is the Student Association, Senate.
