Internships

Below is information regarding application for internship credit. Please note the department policy in regards to dates of application submittal and when students are eligible to apply for internship credit. 

Internship Procedure & Application

Internship Policy

To be counted for credits of MATH 499 or COMP 499, all applications for internships, with all required documentation, must be submitted to the department by the following deadlines:

• For MATH/COMP 499 in Summer semester, application must be submitted by April 15^th.
• For MATH/COMP 499 in Fall semester, application must be submitted by April 15^th.
• For MATH/COMP 499 in Spring semester, application must be submitted by November 15^th.

To be counted as credit for COMP 492 or COMP 493, all applications for internships, with all required documentation, must be submitted to the department by the following deadlines:

• To count for COMP 492 in a Fall semester, application must be submitted by April 15^th of the preceding spring semester.
• To count for COMP 493 in a Spring semester, application must be submitted by November 15^th of the preceding fall semester.

Failure to meet these deadlines will result in the internship not being considered for either situation.  Late applications may be considered given that documentation is provided explaining why the student was unable to meet the deadlines due to the timeline of the internship.  However, there is no guarantee that late applications will be approved.

Note: Should these dates occur during a semester break, holiday, or on a weekend, the deadline will be the preceding Friday.
