This flexible scheduling was perfect for me as it allowed me to vary the amount of credits I took each semester. I would have struggled without that flexibility as I am a non-traditional student who is also a wife, mother of four, and worked full time while completing my degree. This program is designed to fit into your life, whether you want to be a full-time or part-time student.”

Objectives of the SMSU Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship 

  1. Support the economic development for the city of Marshall, Lyon County, the Southwest Region, and the state of Minnesota through the creation of businesses and retention of talent of SMSU students and alumni.  
  2. Provide resources, education, and support to inspire students and alumni to be thinkers and doers through the startup of businesses and pursuit of innovation within existing businesses.  
  3. Contribute to Southwest Region entrepreneurial ecosystem through the enhancement and delivery of entrepreneurship education and business development consulting and advising delivered through collaboration of Center entities, and the identification of venture launch and development opportunities.
