Fine Arts Gala Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship program is to encourage academic excellence within the Fine Arts disciplines represented at the University. Communication Studies is one of the areas in which Gala Scholarships are granted.  Recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance and participation in program activities.  Financial need does not affect the awarding of this scholarship.  The minimum scholarship award is $300.  To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be an SMSU Communication Studies major (of any type).
  2. Have a sophomore, junior or senior standing and at least one year residence at SMSU.
  3. Have demonstrated a contribution to one or more of the program activities.
