Mustang Visit Award

$500 Scholarship

One $500 scholarship will be awarded each week from March 17-May 9, 2025.

Who Can Apply

  • Open to new Fall 2025 degree-seeking First-Year and Transfer students.
  • Must be a United States Citizen or eligible non-citizen. 
  • Students must qualify for admission to SMSU to receive the scholarship in Fall 2025.  

How to Enter

  • Schedule an on-campus visit through this admission website.
  • Complete an on-campus visit to SMSU between March 17 and May 9, 2025.  
  • Visits completed each Monday-Friday will enter a drawing held Friday at 4:00 p.m. CST, and recipients will be notified the following Monday at 9:00 a.m. CST.
  • Have a photo taken during the official visit that can be used when SMSU announces the award recipient’s name.
  • Students who participate in the New Mustang Days programs are automatically entered.

About the Scholarship

  • Limit one entry per person; each person can receive up to one $500 scholarship.  
  • Scholarships can be used for tuition, fees, housing, and food costs at SMSU.
