Mustangs Study Abroad

Southwest Minnesota State University prepares students to meet the complex challenges of this century as engaged citizens in both local and global communities.

You can go global! The Center for International Education (CIE) offers study abroad opportunities worldwide. Whether you want to go for a two-week program, a summer, a semester, or a year, the CIE can help you go global.  So, what are you waiting for?

  1. The first step to studying abroad is to discover the many ways to do so.  You can chose to go abroad with other Mustangs through a Faculty Led Program (FLP) led by SMSU professors, on your own through a study abroad provider, or through our exchange programs in Taiwan.
  2. Determine where you want to go, how long, and when you are planning to go abroad.
  3. Make an appointment to meet with a CIE staff member.

Tip:  Plan your study abroad adventure at least 12 months prior to your planned departure.
