This archive shows the schedule of events from a previous Family Weekend.
It's just a sample of what might be in store for families next year!

Join in the fun on the weekend of September 20-22, 2013 when parents, siblings, grandparents, and family members come to SMSU to have fun with their student and experience campus with them.

RSVPs for the Saturday BBQ Brunch will be accepted until noon on Wednesday, September 18th.

***The RSVP window for the BBQ Brunch is now closed. This is a complimentary event with limited space.*** 
We were required to provide an advance lunch count to our meal provider so they are able to prepare enough food for those who registered early. Thank you for your overwhelming response!

Friday, September 20:

4:30pm-6:00pm —Welcome and Check-In, Entrance of The Schwan Regional Event Center at SMSU

4:30-6:00pm —Tailgating, On Your Own, Green lot of The Schwan Regional Event Center at SMSU

6:00pm—Kick-off, SMSU Mustangs Football vs. Minot State. With Pep Band, Dance Team, Cheer Team performances (admission charge)

7:00pm and 9:00pm—Cinema @ the Centers, Iron Man 3, Conference Center Lower Level (CC 117)

Saturday, September 21:

8:30AM Registration, 9:00AM Run/Walk Starts— Mustang Stampede 5K Run/Walk and 10K Race, The Schwan Regional Event Center (registration fee)

10:00-11:00am— Welcome and Check-In, with optional Ambassador Tours, Founders Hall Lobby

11:00am-12:30pm— BBQ Brunch, Live Musician, Student Center Upper Level

11:00am-3:00pm— Caricature Artist, Student Center Upper Level

1:00pm—SMSU Mustangs Women's Golf, Mustang Invite, Marshall Golf Club

1:00pm—SMSU Mustangs Women’s Soccer vs Minot State, The Schwan Regional Event Center

2:00-3:00pm—Chemistry Club Magic Show, BA 102

4:00pm—SMSU Mustangs Women's Volleyball vs. Wayne State, PE Gym (admission charge)

5:00pm—Pursuit of Excellence, Marching Band Performances, The Schwan Regional Event Center at SMSU (admission charge)

5:30-7:00pm—Dinner On Your Own (Visit the Marshall Chamber website. Choose "Business Directory" and search "Restaurants.")

7:00pm—Family Game Night, Student Center Upper Level

Sunday, September 22:

8:45-9:30am —Music and Scripture Open House, Campus Religious Center 

9:00am—SMSU Mustangs Women's Golf, Mustang Invite, Marshall Golf Club

Brunch On Your Own

1:00pm—SMSU Mustangs Women’s Soccer vs. University of Mary, The Schwan Regional Event Center
