Family Weekend 2014

Join in the fun on the weekend of September 12-14, 2014 when parents, siblings, grandparents, and family members come to SMSU to have fun with their student and experience campus with them.

We look forward to meeting all the families who can visit campus and to celebrating with students who have loved ones far away! We are all a part of the #MustangFamily!

Friday, September 12

6:30pm and 9:00pm Cinema @ the Centers “Maleficent,”  Student Center Lower Level TV Lounge (limited seating for 35)

7:00 pm Planetarium Show: Universe Tour in UniView, followed by a laser light show, SM 108 (limited seating for 68)

8:00 pm Take 2 Improv, Fine Arts Black Box Theatre (limited seating for 75)

Saturday, September 13

10:00am – 5:00pm *Student Center Coffee house Hours

9:00am 5K Fun Run, Sponsored by Live @ the Centers, 8:30am Registration, State Street and Mustang Trail (NE SS Lot)

2:00pm – 3:00pm Chemistry Club Magic Show (Followed by Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream),  Charter Hall 217

3:30pm – 5:30pm SAC Concert, “MOCKINGBIRD SUN” (hot country band), R/A West Parking Lot (inclement weather, R/A Facility)

4:00pm – 6:00pm Residence Life/RHA Event Outdoor Games, With popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, face painting

6:00pm *Football Game SMSU vs. Minnesota-Crookston - “Tackle Cancer” Promotion
             SMSU Students free, Students and Seniors $7, Adults $10, Reserved $12, 5 and under Free (gate), The Schwan Regional Event Center

9:00pm - Midnight    Following the Game: Open House at the CRC. Finger Foods, Snacks and Drinks to Enjoy after the game (free)

Sunday, September 14

1:00pm – 5:00pm SMSU Family Open Bowling, Marshall Bowl, 1417 East College Drive. Free with Mustang ID!

6:00pm Home Soccer vs. University of Sioux Falls, The Schwan Regional Event Center

6:30pm and 9:00pm Cinema @ the Centers: “Maleficent," SC TV Lounge (limited seating for 35 )
