A Very Prairie Christmas is Sat., Dec. 5

The Southwest Minnesota State University music program will present its annual “A Very Prairie Christmas” concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Schwan Community Center for the Performing Arts at Marshall High School.

The performance will feature the Southwest Minnesota State University/Community Concert Band, SMSU Jazz Ensemble, SMSU Chorale and the Southwest Minnesota Orchestra.

There will also be an audience participation carol sing-along at the end of the performance, led by the Southwest Minnesota Orchestra and the SMSU Chorale.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 5 years of age and under. All proceeds go toward the purchase and maintenance of instruments at Southwest Minnesota State University.
