16th Annual Ag Bowl, Sept. 10

The 16th annual Ag Bowl—presented by Ralco Inc.—is set for this Saturday, Sept. 10 at The Schwan Regional Event Center and SREC parking lot on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University.
Ag Bowl is a celebration of agriculture in Minnesota and features numerous events for both kids and adults.
Activities for all ages will begin at 2 p.m., and include, a petting zoo, tractor displays, hay rides, ag related booths, mechanical bull riding, farm-themed inflatables, and a FREE football clinic hosted by SMSU football coaches and staff from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The popular Kids Pedal Pull also returns and will take place with registration starting at 3 p.m. for ages 4-11.
The Ralco 'Food Zone' is back serving great food and beverages starting at 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Hy-Vee, Chartwells, the SMSU Culinology Department and Lingen Dairy, have teamed-up to serve an incredible meal, including pork chop on a stick, beef sliders, pulled pork sliders, roasted vegetables, honey Cajun potatoes, Greek pasta Salad, caramel apple slices, brookies (brownie cookies), and shakes.
The SMSU volleyball team will host Upper Iowa starting at 2 p.m. inside the PE Gym with the day capped by the SMSU football game versus Concordia-St. Paul starting at 5 p.m. at The Schwan Regional Event Center.
Proceeds generated by the Ag Bowl will fund scholarships and programming for worthy student-athletes and young people who will dedicate their careers to business success in agriculture, environmental science and the food industries.
SMSU's educational programs in agriculture, environmental science and food arts & sciences develop young people who spend their careers working to grow the economic success of the agricultural industry.

2:00 p.m. – SMSU Volleyball hosts Upper Iowa, PE Gym
2:00 p.m. – Activities open: petting zoo, hayrides, inflatables, info booths, tractor displays, and mechanical bull riding, RA/SREC Parking Lot
2:00-5:00 p.m. – Ralco ‘Food Zone’ featuring food from HyVee, Chartwells, SMSU Culinology, and Lingen Dairy, RA/SREC Parking Lot
3:00 p.m. – Registration for Kids Pedal Pull (ages 4-11)
5:00 p.m. – SMSU Football hosts Concordia-St. Paul
