Student Club & Organization Awards Announced

Chemistry Club

The Student Activities Committee presented their annual club and organization awards for the 2023-24 Academic Year at a program on April 25, 2024.

Candidates for awards are nominated by club and organization members and faculty advisors with selection by a panel of SMSU staff members serving as judges. The categories include community service, programming, president, advisor, and club of the year. The clubs and organizations are grouped by general club and the co-curricular classifications.

This year’s award recipients:

Outstanding Community Service, Co-Curricular Clubs – Student Association, American Red Cross Blood Drives and Mustang Market support.
Outstanding Community Service, General Clubs – Chemistry Club, Chemistry reaction shows at area schools in Marshall MN, Lake Benton MN, and Elkton SD.
Program of the Year, Co-Curricular Clubs – Student Activities Committee (SAC), Grocery Bingo monthly program.
Program of the Year, General Clubs – Residence Hall Association, “Fun in the Sun” program
President of the Year, Co-Curricular Clubs – SAC, Lillian Lewandowski
President of the Year, General Clubs – The Guitar Players Association, Ashton Ayres
Advisor of the Year, Co-Curricular Clubs – Student Association, Dr. Jeremy Reed
Advisor of the Year, General Clubs – Chemistry Club, Co-Advisors: Dr. Noelle Beyer and Dr. Ben Tokheim
Club or Organization of the Year, Co-Curricular Clubs – Student Activities Committee
