China, 2008

In June of 2008 the Men's Glee Club and members of the SMSU Bands traveled to Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai as part of Kingsway International's tour, "Perform in Harmony with Olympic Spirit." 

Highlights of the trip included performances by the groups at the Great Wall, the Forbidden City Concert Hall, the Beijing Conservatory of Music, and the Oriental Arts Centre in Shanghai.

The participants also learned about Chinese culture and history through visits to and tours of the:

• Terra Cota Warriors

• Temple of Heaven

• Great Wall of China

• Forbidden City

• Jade Centre

• Tian Anmen Square

• Beijing Opera

• Bund

• Shanghai Acrobats

• Yu Garden and Market
