Enrolling in a Licensure Program

Enrollment in an SMSU teacher licensure program means candidates meet specific state requirements to apply for a Minnesota teaching license when the program requirements have been met.

Do you have a bachelor's degree or higher and want to enroll in an education licensure program to earn an initial or additional teaching license?

Please complete the Education Licensure Only Form so we can best direct you on your steps for applying to SMSU and the Teacher Preparation Program. After you've been accepted to the University, we will review your transcripts to determine which courses you will need to earn a MN teaching license in the field you're interested in.
