The purpose of Access Opportunity Success (AOS) is to ensure program participants persist through to graduation. The services provided not only equip underrepresented students with the skills and tools they need to academically succeed, but inevitably impacts retention rates of the overall student population at SMSU.
Mission:
The mission of Access Opportunity Success (AOS) is to facilitate access to Southwest Minnesota State University's academic programs through programs and services that contribute to individual students' development of academic skills and thinking processes necessary for academic success.
Who Is Eligible?
- First Generation: Signifies parents/guardians did not graduate with a four-year college degree
- Student of Color
- Low Income: Pell Grant recipient
