How do I use the GPA Calculator?
First, Run your DARS report on e-services so that you have the numbers that you need to enter into the GPA calculator
How to Calculate your Cumulative and Major GPA using the top half calculator:
- Find the Requirement under the University Graduation Requirements that shows your cumulative GPA or the requirement under your Major GPA found toward the end of your DARS
- Enter your Current GPA
- Enter your GPA credits as your currently completed credits. (GPA does not include any courses taken as CR/NC or Pass/Fail)
- Enter grades that you speculate you are going to get for courses that do not have any grades
- Click on calculate
- The new semester and cumulative GPA you would get for your self-reported grades appears
- Click on clear form for recalculations
How to Calculate if you can achieve a higher GPA with the current number of credits that you have left using the bottom half calculator:
- Find the Requirement under the University Graduation Requirements that shows your cumulative GPA or the requirement under your Major GPA found toward the end of your DARS
- Enter your Current GPA
- Figure out how many credits you have left to complete
- Enter your total GPA points
- Enter the GPA you would like to achieve
- Click on calculate
- A number less than 4.0 indicates you could achieve that GPA within that number of credits
- A number greater than 4.0 indicates that it is not possible to achieve your desired GPA within that number of credits
The calculator uses the following GPA Point system:
- A+ 4.0
- A 4.0
- A- 3.67
- B+ 3.33
- B 3.0
- B- 2.67
- C+ 2.33
- C 2.0
- C- 1.67
- D+ 1.33
- D 1.0
- D- 0.67
- F 0.0
