Technology for Training and Learning Emphasis

Southwest Minnesota State University offers a Master of Science in Education with a Technology for Training and Learning Emphasis/Certificate. The Technology for Training and Learning Emphasis/Certificate is appropriate for teachers who want to integrate technology into their teaching approach, as well as for students going into the business sector who want to employ technology in their management strategy.

This emphasis/certificate allows students to attain depth in the use of technology in learning and training environments. Students will gain experience in various technologies such as video, graphics, collaboration software, learning management systems, presentation technology, and videoconferencing. Best practices in these areas will be explored through practical exercises, assignments, and research projects as applied to training and learning. All courses in this Emphasis will be offered online during the fall/spring semesters or during the summer.
